Regional Announcements

Dear Parents

We will be starting the AYSO Spring 2020 season with games starting on May 16 and end June 27.  Coaches will be receiving their information by May 9 and they will be contacting parents by May 12.  If you have not been contacted by May 12 please contact your child’s Division Director (listed below).  This season starting is consistent with the 4 Phase Transition Policy specified by Idaho Governor Little.  We will be playing this season with special rules to ensure compliance with the Transition Policies.

1.      Each team will sit on opposite sides of the field.  All parents and spectators shall sit on their team’s side about 10 feet from the field and shall be spaced apart a minimum of 6 feet between family groups.  If added space is needed family groups may sit on the ends of the field adhering to the same spacing requirements.

2.      Players not on the field shall sit near their coaches on their side of the field.

3.      No out of town visitors shall be at any game.

4.      If you or a family member or player is sick DO NOT COME TO A GAME OR PRACTICE.

5.      Playgrounds will not be accessible to anyone.

6.      Siblings of players need to stay with parents and shall not play off to the side.

7.      Older relatives or people with immune deficiencies should not attend games or practices.

8.      Each player needs to bring their own water – WATER BOTTLES ARE NOT TO BE SHARED.

9.      There will be no treats after games or at half-time.

10.  There will be no after game handshakes, just an after game cheer.

11.  Schedules will be different to keep crowds at a minimum. The U12 schedule will be different with U12girls meeting on Monday and Wednesdays and U12 boys meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will help relieve the crowding at the fields.

12.  Please leave the field as soon as possible after games and do not congregate with other family groups.

13.  If you need to talk with the coach please call them or text them, do not interact at the field.

14.  Do not bring pets to any game or practice.

15.  If at any time the Governor determines that the state must go back to a previous transition phase the season will be terminated.

16.   There will be an informed consent letter that each parent must sign before their child can participate for the season.

Any parent who decides they can’t abide by these policies for this season or choose not to have their child play can submit a refund request using the attached refund form (also available on our web page Refund requests need to be submitted by Sunday May 3, 2020.  The short notice is necessary so we can make sure teams can be finalized so we can start the season quickly. If we have more refunds than players we might need to close certain divisions. If that happens everyone in that division will receive a refund.  If we do not enough volunteer coaches we may need to cancel certain divisions.  If you still would like to volunteer to coach please contact your child’s division director.
