AYSO Region 102 Recognitions
Letter to Editor - Post RegisterReceived Aug. 21, cleared Aug. 21 Thank you, Pete Nawrocki and Jeff Brower! These men spent their summer burning lines onto all the soccer fields in town. This is a big, dirty job, and these guys were not paid to do it. Having lines on the school fields means your kids can play soccer or football at recess. In my experience, when there are no lines, there are no rules, and the bullies take over. Kids who are less athletic and aggressive stop playing. Now everyone can play again. Go check out one of these nicely lined fields at your local school or park. Bring your kids and a soccer ball. These fields are heavily used for league practices until 7 or 8 in the evening. Invite another family or invite the kids who come and watch to join you, and before you know it, you've got a great game going. It's good fun and exercise for the whole family. Thanks again, Pete and Jeff, for your hard work on these fields. (Word count: 166) SUSAN BLOSSOM Idaho Falls Pete and Jeff - a job well done. |
